ACE is designed to improve kids’ attitudes and behaviors around math, literacy and school climate, ACE is an out-of-school academic curriculum that connects the Common Core State and National Educational Standards to tennis. Activities encourage academic achievement, health and wellness and social and emotional skills. When combined with a tennis program, it provides children with important Developmental Assets.

Women’s Sports Foundation – GoGirlGo! Curriculum
As a part of NYJTL ACES club, GoGirlGo! students engage in a leadership curriculum specifically designed for girls ages 5-18 promoting healthy living, nutrition, leadership and social and emotional development.
The GoGirlGo! Curriculum is the Women’s Sports Foundations landmark program that gets girls moving, not through direct service, but by supporting programs and organizations that work with these girls. GoGirlGo! identifies and weaves together quality resources within each community and provides comprehensive support to organizations through a hands-on curriculum, grant program and networking opportunities.

CITRS – Character Education
NYJTL partners with CITRS (Character, Integrity, Trust, Relationships, Success) to provide a comprehensive curriculum that includes character development. The principles of tennis are a means to teach and promote life skills, healthy nutritional practices and positive character development.

Breakthrough New York
Breakthrough New York is a 10-year college access program committed to getting high-potential, low-income students to and through four-year colleges. BTNY provides after-school tutoring and summer enrichment programs to some of the best and the brightest middle school students from New York public schools, offering academic preparation, guidance and mentoring. Breakthrough New York operates its Bronx location out of the Cary Leeds Center.
Emblem Health – Healthy Living Curriculum & Bodega Buddy Program
EmblemHealth and NYJTL have developed a fun and engaging Healthy Living program, teaching students how to make healthy choices in a fun and engaging way.
Each child receives a Bodega Buddy clip card to guide them to healthy foods for after school snacks. Families receive recipe cards and guides to educate them about healthier food options aligned with the Aces Clubs lessons. Healthy recipes will also be given to families in a booklet published by NYJTL and EmblemHealth.
