Junior Community Tennis Program

Introduce your child to tennis in a fun and encouraging environment! Our program focuses on building self-confidence, athletic skills, and fundamental tennis techniques.

NYPD 42nd Precinct Youth Tennis – Serve & Inspire

Connect with your local NYPD Youth Coordination Officers both on and off the court in this exciting tennis program!

Saturday Night Lights (Only Tennis SNL Site in NYC!)

Join the only Saturday Night Lights tennis program in the city, funded by DYCD! Welcoming Bronx youth to play tennis, stay active, and make friends.

  • Schedule: Middle School Students (ages 11-14): Saturdays, 5:00 – 7:00 pm | High School Students (ages 15-18): Saturdays, 7:00 – 9:00 pm

NYJTL Community Tennis Program

The NYJTL Community Tennis Program offers free tennis instruction, equipment, and competition year-round to 10,000 participants ages 5 to 19 in schools and public parks across all five boroughs, including Crotona Park.

Adult Community Tennis Clinics

Discover or rediscover the joy of tennis in our friendly adult clinics. Learn the basics through active participation and expert coaching.

  • Ages: Adults (18 years-old+)
  • Schedule:
    • Fall, Winter, Spring: Fridays, 8:00 – 9:30 pm | Sundays, 12:30 – 2:00 pm
    • Summer: Fridays, 6:00 – 7:30 pm | Sundays, 9:00 – 10:30 am

Older Adult Community Tennis Clinics

Fun, fitness, and friendship await in our low-impact tennis clinics tailored especially for older adults.


Community Court Reservations

Community Court Rental Protocol:

  • This court time is designated for casual play by local community residents.
  • Courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on availability.
  • Reservations can be made by calling the front desk at 718-247-7420 up to two hours in advance.
    • Courts cannot be reserved in advance during the following prime-time hours:
      • Monday – Friday: 4 PM – 8 PM
      • Saturday – Sunday: 9 AM – 1 PM
    • During these prime-time hours, courts are available for walk-ins only, based on availability.
  • No private instruction is permitted. Teaching professionals are not allowed to use free community court time for lessons.
  • No baskets or coaching tools are permitted on the courts.
  • A maximum of 6 tennis balls are allowed per court.
  • If a court is already booked in the system for another player, no one else may use it, even if the scheduled player is running late.

Community Coach Rental Protocol

  • This court time is designed for local community coaches to provide lessons to local community youth
  • Approved community coaches may rent a court for one-on-one lessons at a discounted rate of $50 per hour during the following times:
    • Monday – Friday: 8 PM – 10 PM
    • Saturday – Sunday: 6 AM – 9 AM & 5 PM – 10 PM
    • Rentals are subject to court availability.
  • Community coaches are allowed to bring their own coaching equipment.
  • Regular rates apply for stadium courts and during the outdoor season.
  • Only the following approved community coaches are permitted to book courts for teaching lessons:
    • Kingsley Anyan
    • Domingo Jordan
    • Jordan Jordan
    • Alessandra Jordan
